Visioning workshops and retreats are important. They are about opening up possibilities--and then discerning what to make of them, and how. Sometimes, taking a few hours, days, or even months to think and feel your way into the future can be the most strategic move an organization can make. I have experience with a variety of formats for group visioning, such as Appreciative Inquiry. These kinds of retreats are particularly personalized to each group I work with.
